What to Expect

When You Arrive

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming church. When you arrive at Blacksburg Baptist Church (BBC), you will find volunteers available to assist you with parking, directions around campus, or answers to any questions you may have. Ask any volunteer or member, and they will happily assist you.

We continue to encourage safe and healthy behavior, even as we begin to relax guidelines consistent with CDC recommendations. Please visit our COVID-19 page for an updated explanation of our safety guidelines.

On your first visit to BBC, please be sure to stop by the Welcome Center located immediately outside the sanctuary for more information and to receive a gift!

Our Congregation

BBC is a multi-generational, multi-ethnic church. We enjoy exceptional children's and youth ministries known across our denomination as among the best in Virginia. Our programming provides college students and adults with discipleship and service opportunities, and we have a large and vibrant senior adult ministry. We enjoy the largest and most diverse missions program of any church our size in Virginia, and we enjoy a seven-day-a-week, morning-to-evening local ministry.

Our Affiliations

BBC is a proud member of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (GBAV), the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF), and the Western Blue Ridge Baptist Network. BGAV is a state-wide missions and ministry organization of approximately 1400 churches. CBF is a nationwide association of moderate Baptist churches that cooperate in missions activities internationally and stateside. BBC provides funding to each of these organizations and supports their missions and outreach.

How Should I Dress?

Dress as you choose. Blue jeans are welcomed, but so are ties and dresses. That you come and worship is what’s important to us!
