At The Table
Loving our Neighbor: Last Advent many of us awakened to the reality that many in our community are hungry. A group of individuals felt moved to try and meet this important need and also share Christ love. BBC has launched a new breakfast ministry for the community. Inspired by, Matthew 5:40 “For I tell you the Truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine you did for me,” we are providing a weekly, hot, healthy breakfast and friendly conversation for anyone in our community who needs one.
Mission Emphasis for February
Missions Emphasis for February: Summer Missions: Summer mission doesn’t have to just be for college students. However, college students, this is a great thing for you to do with your summer. Anyone who feels a calling by the Lord can take part in regional or international missions. The summer is a great time to do so as travel is a typical part of the summer. The Virginia Baptist Mission Board (VBMB) specifically has partnerships with believers and church planters in Panama and China. Visit http://www.vbmb.org/Missions/default.cfm for more information. If you are a student, you can also check out http://imb.org/taskproj/ for student summer missions. Additionally, Bryan Cloyd from BBC is organizing a team of about 8 to go to Haiti from May 26-30 to be part of the church/school dedication in Ti Peligre.
